PRESENTED
BY Monte Bobele, PhD, ABPP |
|
The
Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nova
Southeastern University is offering “From School Problems
to Brief Therapy Solutions,” presented by Monte Bobele,
Ph.D., ABPP. The workshop will demonstrate the application
of solution-focused techniques with minority youth and their
families. Dr. Bobele will cover standard brief therapy methods,
as well as specific solution-focused strategies for assisting
participants with their own cases.
Therapists in many settings are called
upon to deal with young people’s difficulties at school.
Frequently, these behavioral problems can be resolved quickly
using brief therapy methods. Solution-focused therapy, which
focuses on strengths and resources within the family, are
especially appropriate in working with underserved minority
client populations. |
