Presenters will show how creating a safe atmosphere of acceptance and openness when discussing diversity issues can stimulate enriching, redemptive (i.e., therapeutic) conversations and outcomes. Participants will be challenged and motivated to move beyond political correctness to actively and willingly engage in conversations about difference.

This workshop will illustrate how to create an environment to address difficult topics associated with “isms” plus offer ways to recreate similar communities. Presenters will also demonstrate how open dialog and risk-taking can create accepting, non-violent and collaborative societies.
