Dear Friend of SHSS,
Thank you for your interest in considering a contribution
to the NSU Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences
(SHSS). We apply a holistic perspective to the challenges
facing individuals, families, groups, organizations, communities,
and nations. With an interdisciplinary sensibility and a commitment
to individual integrity and social responsibility, we seek
collaborative, creative, and equitable means for resolving
human issues. Our diverse students learn to become reflective
scholars and skilled practitioners - ethical professionals
with a critical understanding of theory and method, as well
as an appreciation of the diversity, innovation, responsibility,
and privilege inherent in co-creating peaceful change.
Our academic programs, learning activities, research and
community outreach projects are in need of financial support.
As a young graduate school, we must turn to you, your community,
and your organization for support and assistance. Our goal
of a fundraising campaign is to raise $2.5 million in endowed
funds to benefit STUDENT
SCHOLARSHIPS and FACULTY
DEVELOPMENT. Students and professors are our top priorities,
and to continue to move forward in the new millennium, we
must retain and attract high-caliber students and faculty
with more resources.
Supporting SHSS is a meaningful investment. This investment
multiplied by others who give has the promise of bringing
about changes and transformations. There are varieties of
