The dual admission program is available to all students who are enrolled
in the M.S. program in Conflict Analysis & Resolution or Family Therapy
at NSU. Once a student has completed all the necessary requirements for
the M.S. degree program, s/he will be automatically admitted to the Ph.D.
program in their field of study (Family Therapy or Conflict Analysis &
Resolution) if:
- S/he earns a cumulative Master’s GPA of at least
3.8.
- Two faculty members from the Department “highly
recommend” the student via the letters of reference related to
both academic and practical performance.
- Student must pass the Ph.D. admissions interview.
Students seeking dual admission must submit the following documents when
applying to the Ph.D. program:
- application for admission
- admissions essay
- resume’ or curriculum vitae
- three letters of reference
The following documents and procedures are waived:
- application fee
- writing sample
Students cannot take doctoral level classes until they have completed
the requirements for the Master’s degree. |
